II – Lockdown

During the day nothing exciting happen, so let’s fast forward to the night. In a nut shell, my whole day was kinda sucky. I was going insane on my way home because it didn’t come fast enough. To the point that I didn’t even eat. I grabbed my gym gear; got my blasting music; and hit the treadmill for my 4 mile run. Oh, God how I love my time running. It takes me to a place where I can’t be bothered by anything. After the wonderful run, I started getting ready because I promised one of my best friends I would go out with him to the bars. As I was walking, I was feeling lousy and really not in the mood. But I thought to myself, “Better try and do something to make you feel better.” And as I walked, I engaged in my own “personal life reflections.” It’s basically when I take time to myself and reflect on my life and pertinent issues at the moment. Thought I could ramble about my personal life, it is not the point of this entry – moving on…
I show my ID and the minute I cross the door I see my friend who immediately invited me to play a drinking game called flip cup. I’ve played the game a handful of times; however, that meant free beer… I was so in 8).
After only the heavens know how much beer I had, I went to my Club Sodas since I needed to stay on my budget. … And the fact that I could feel the alcohol taking it’s toll was also a motivator for my sober drinking to start. BUT guess what happened? The night turned out to be one of those nights that you were really not expecting much and then BAM! It’s like you ended having a great night. You know what I’m sayin’? As I was trying to sober up, a friend of mine came over after asking me what bar I was at. So he gets there and buys me a personal pitcher. Great… Obviously I finished it. So again, I get another Club Soda and try to sober up again… Which was going great until two of my friends that I haven’t seen in a while become so overjoyed to see me that they bought me ANOTHER pitcher. All I have to say is that I am COMPLETELY grateful they offered me a ride home. That’s all I’m saying.
